I started a huge project: knitting a sweater for my guy. It’s my first big project, and not only is it big because his a sizeable man, which requires a lot of yarn (and malabrigo yarn, not a simple acrylic) and knitting, I’ve decided to knit entirely using the continental knitting method, which I’ve learned by myself watching this video:
Also, he really likes cables, so this will be my first experience with real cables. In order to keep track of the sections and cables along the design I’ve laid out, I made some really cute stitch markers, just for this purpose.

January 28th, progress update: sleeves are nearly ready.
February 5th, progress update: I’ve blocked the sweater and tried sewing it together, only to find out that the sleeves are disproportionately long. This is so disappointing, I will have to unravel both sleeves…
