Organgina shawl

After my previous beaded knitting project, which was not so difficult as I thought it would be, I decided to knit another beaded shawl with my orange silk and cashmere jade sapphire yarn I bought last year in Berlin. I chose Swallowtail shawl as a pattern after seeing so many lovely projects that incorporated beads in it, and having a relatively small amount of yarn, I decided it would be a good pattern for this yarn. I ordered some Miyuki beads online, and started knitting.

I got this much knit already:

And here’s a closer look on the beads incorporated while knitting:

I quite happy with the effect of the small beads incorporated into the shawls body, but I’m thinking of ordering larger beads to knit into the shawl instead of the nupps, I don’t want to knit those as they consume too much yarn.

Project raveled here.
